Goat: Kind, gentle, creative, artistic, and compassionate
Monkey: Smart, mischievous, and with a strong sense of humor
Rooster: Punctual, honest, diligent, and highly responsible
Dogs: Loyalty, Integrity, and Reliability
Pigs: Sincere, generous, kind, optimistic, and helpful
How to Confirm Your Chinese Zodiac Sign
The Chinese Zodiac is based on a 12-year cycle, with each year represented by an animal. These animals in order are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. The Chinese Zodiac changes on Lunar New Year.
Below are two simple ways to find your zodiac sign.
Method 1: For most years, you can calculate the remainder of (birth year - 4) divided by 12, then match it to the sign order: • Remainder 0 → Rat • Remainder 1 → Ox • Remainder 2 → Tiger • Remainder 3 → Rabbit • Remainder 4 → Dragon • Remainder 5 → Snake • Remainder 6 → Horse • Remainder 7 → Goat • Remainder 8 → Monkey • Remainder 9 → Rooster • Remainder 10 → Dog • Remainder 11 → Pig
Example: Birth year 1990 (1990 - 4) ÷ 12 = 1986 ÷ 12 = 165 with remainder 6 → Zodiac: Horse. Note: This formula works for most years but double-check with Lunar New Year if your birthday is in Jan/Feb!
Method 2: You can also refer to the table below to confirm your zodiac sign.
Note: Two methods above works for most years, but please double-check with Lunar New Year if your birthday is in Jan/Feb!
